Introduction
Zenfra is VTG’s (Virtual Tech Guru's) automation tool, a data migration company that helps businesses move their data from one system to another. They needed a logo that would represent their business and the services they offer.
This logo i created when i was working with a global UX design agency called "GoProtoz", Bengaluru.
Logo design is an extremely important part of any company's branding. It is the first thing that customers see, and it can make or break a business. I started by doing some research on what makes a good data migration logo. I found that many of the best logos featured abstract shapes and curves, as opposed to literal images or text. This is because data migration is a complex process, and a more abstract logo can help to convey that complexity in a simplified way.

Design Process
Here are my five simple steps to creating a great logo

-
The first step in designing a logo is to create a design brief. This document will outline the specific requirements of the project, such as the company name, industry, colors, and any other specific requests from the client.
-
The next step is to do research. This involves finding inspiration for the logo and gathering information about the company and its target audience.
-
After doing research, it’s time to start creating design concepts. This is where the designer starts to experiment with different ideas and concepts.
-
The fourth step is to get feedback from the client. This is an important step to knowing that if I am going in the right direction.
-
Final step is once the client selected their favorite design, I make a few small tweaks, finalize and deliver the logo.
Brainstorming and mindmapping

-
After discussing the company's needs and what they wanted their logo to represent, I started with brainstorming to generate more ideas. This is usually the first step in the design process, and it's where you let your creativity run wild. I gathered all of the information we discussed and began to sketch out some ideas.
-
I always start with simple sketches that can be easily refined. I like to keep my designs loose at this point, as it allows for more flexibility later on. Once I have a few rough sketches, I begin to experiment with different color combinations and typefaces.

Initial sketches of exploring with letter 'Z'
-
Initially, when I started sketching the letter 'Z', I was trying to explore the various possibilities of creating a logo on the letter 'Z'. I tried to keep it simple and minimalistic, with just the basic outline of the letter 'Z. However, as I started working on it more, I realized that it was limiting my creative possibilities, and there was a lot more that I could do with the letter 'Z'. So, I decided to explore some other options.

Sketches with full nazme 'Zenfra'
-
I was playing around with different shapes, curves, symbols and came up with a few sketches that I liked. I then worked on refining these by adding meaningful symbols with the full name Zenfra. I wanted to create a brand that people could connect with and feel good about.
Moodboard

-
Creating a moodboard is a great way to get inspired before starting to design the logo. This is especially helpful when I start working with a color palette. By having a moodboard, I can get an idea of the different feelings that each color evokes and how they can be used together.

Experimenting with fonts, colors and symbols on design software
-
I tried out various typestyles in different colors and shades to see what looked best in Adobe Illustrator. I also wanted to use a typeface that would be easily legible and would convey the feeling I was going for. I chose a typeface that is common enough that most people would recognize it, but not so common that it would lose its impact.
Proposed Logos
After meticulously considering a number of logo designs in Adobe Illustrator, I was able to present the client with three color options with concept that would best suit their needs.

Concept-1

Concept-2

Concept-3

-
My client was very happy with the logos I provided, and selected one logo out of the three options.

Here are various representations of the final logo with different background colors.
As a designer my goal is to help businesses with their brand identity. In this case, I shared all the steps I used for developing logos, from brief to finalizing the design with a logo. This is just one example of how I use my skills and creativity to make logos for my clients.
